I talk to her and ask
"What do you see?"
She replies:
"I see braces and glasses and an annoyingly perky girl."
I look in the mirror and frown.
I see what she sees.
I talk to them and ask
"What do you see?"
They reply:
"We see a beautiful smile, bright blue eyes,
and an optimistic girl who tries to see the good in the world."
I look in the mirror and smile.
I see what they see.
I kneel down and talk to Him.
"What do you see?"
He smiles down at me and gives me a hug.
"My child, I see My beautiful daughter."
Now when I look in that mirror, I see what He sees.
And this time I know it is true.

This is a little story I came up with when I was plotting a chapter in a book I'm writing. It talks about how we all tend to see in ourselves what others see.
"She" is the the world and the media, how they portray how we should look.
"They" are our true friends who encourage us in everything.
And "He" is our Father in Heaven, who see's us for who we really are: HIS CHILDREN!
